We caught a look at leaked press images 2 weeks ago of a device -- the Galaxy Axiom -- that looked to be a rebranded Galaxy S3 Mini destined for U.S. Cellular, and now it looks like the rumors were correct. The device has a 4-inch WVGA (that's 480x800) display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera and is running Android 4.0 with TouchWiz. Like a few recent phones from U.S. Cellulari, it also has 4G LTE connectivity, which won't do you much good unless you're in a few choice markets where it has been deployed. It's also one of the rare devices to ship with Google Wallet support baked in.
The Samsung Galaxy Axiom™ features the Android™ 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform, which gives you a new level of Smartphone intelligence, control and customization. The 4.0" full touchscreen gives you plenty of room for texts, status updates, videos and gaming. Use the 1.3 MP front-facing camera to keep in touch through face-to-face chats and the 5.0 MP rear-facing Cornici Digitali and camcorder to catch memorable moments. Share songs, photos, videos and more with one touch using S Beam™ and use the power of S Voice to execute voice commands such as dialing a call, typing a text, asking for directions and finding out the current weather forecast.
Apparently the price varies by location, but we're seeing it for just $0.01 with a contract, or $399 without. Take a look at the source link below if you're interested in picking one up.
